Speed Dating Questions

May 29th, 2009

A matchmaking process or a dating system that encourages people to meet a large number of new people (who are potential partners for them), is known as speed dating.

Though the basic concept behind speed dating is the same, there are many speed dating services offered throughout the world.

The speed dating service matches up people randomly, making people who have never met each other to go on dates which lasts for a small period of time such as 9 minutes (depending upon the speed dating service- though generally the time period is very short). During this very short period of time, they need to communicate with each other, as much as possible, before moving on to the next date, until a large number of people have been 'speed dating' each other.

At the end of the speed dating session, if one likes to get to know more about, say, five people, they are supposed to make a list of the five names and hand it over to the service and later after perhaps one or two days, if the five people also wants to get to know the one mentioned above (as indicated in their lists), a match is made, and an exchange of information will occur- provided by the service; this is so that later on, the interested parties can get to know each other better.

Hence, it is obvious that the few minutes spent in speed dating will be filled with questions and answers. Hence, without wasting time, it is important to get to know information that is most important to you, when selecting a partner. For a match to happen, if you're interested in one or two people, you have to make sure they are interested in you too. {Hence, the questions asked and answers given should ensure that an attraction would take place- and would impress each other.|It is therefore, important to make sure the questions asked and answers given will ensure an attraction as well as ensure that both parties will be impressed with each other. If a person aims to be relaxed, confidently outgoing and well mannered, this will be enough to form a good impression.

The following are some questions that you can ask when speed dating or should be prepared to answer.
Some serious questions:
In your life, what are you most proud of?
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
If you had only six months to live, what would you do first?

These are some light hearted questions:
What makes you laugh?
What makes you cry?
What do you do for fun?
Describe your perfect Sunday morning?

However, there are certain things that are generally better left unasked. These include, asking where they live- specifically, asking things about religion or asking about what they do for a living. Also, when answering questions in speed dating, it would be better to not talk about your previous dates or about how much you miss your ex.
